The special meeting of the Cass City Board of Education was called to order on September 8, 2008, at 7:00 PM in the board room by President Doug Lautner.

The Members present were Michelle Biddinger, Craig Bellew, Doug Lautner, Randy Severance, Danny Haag and James Turner. Also present was Superintendent Wilson and Transportation Director Rich Sattelberg.

It was moved by James Turner. seconded by Danny Haag, to grant Superintendent Ronald C. Wilson the authority to approve a construction change order with Valley Roofing in the amount of $40,725 for additional work to be completed at Cass City High School. The motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Danny Haag, seconded by Randy Severance, to approve the purchase of a 2006 Dodge van from Curtis Chrysler of Cass City in the amount of $16,246. The motion carried unanimously.

Teacher negotiations were discussed and Jim Turner reported that the board negotiating team had made a request for mediation. Mediation has been scheduled for October 23, 2008 at 4 PM

It was moved by Doug Lautner, seconded by Craig Bellew to grant Superintendent Ronald C. Wilson the authority to sell five old school buses on eBay. The motion carried unanimously.

At 8:42 PM it was moved by Doug Lautner, seconded by Jim Turner, to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
