My students know that tenth grade English class is all about writing-learning how to write as well as what to write, and so the above quotation is my theme song. I want my students to be prepared for the world in which they will live and so we also have many lively discussions about the world of work. I love discussing their career options with them and helping them figure out just what a podiatrist does, or an archivist or an actuary or a clergy person!
