Greetings!  This is the beginning of my eleventh year in this school system.  I am currently teaching English at Cass City Middle School.  I have taught English for over twenty years at various levels with 10 of those years in the Caro school system.  I have taught eight years of ELA at the eighth grade level here at CCMS. I serve as a member on our district's technology team.  I have served as a coordinator of the eighth grade trip to Cedar Point along with Mr. Z.  I have also chaperoned multiple trips to Washington D.C.  While teaching at the high school, I was also a class sponsor.

Education-I received a B.S. in Education from Central Michigan University.  I have a major in English and a minor in History. I continue taking classes, and just recently completed a political science and sociology class through LSU. 

I enjoy teaching young people.  My goal is to be a really good leader for my students.  I want them to learn everything they can. Every student can achieve whatever they set their mind to.  My goal is to help them reach that goal. 

In my spare time I enjoy: camping, singing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family. I have two children and a wonderful husband.  My husband and I have been married for twenty years.

My expectations for all of my students is that they will come to class prepared to work with an open mind.  My students should give me their best effort every day, and they can expect that from me each day as well.  Both my students and their parents should know that I spend multiple days a week after school so I can help out students that need further assistance.  Parents, please call to make sure I plan on staying after if you would like your son/daughter to get extra assistance.  Remember, my goal is to help your son/daughter to achieve success in eighth grade ELA!
