Final Election Results

Dear Cass City Families,

We are pleased to share an important update regarding the May 5, 2026 election

Dear Cass City Families,

We are pleased to share an important update regarding the May 5, 2026 election.

As many of you know, the unofficial results initially showed the “zero mill increase” bond falling short by just one vote. Today, following the official canvassing process, the Tuscola County Board of Canvassers certified the election results, confirming that the proposal has officially passed by two votes.

This outcome reflects the strong engagement of our community, and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to vote. Your participation in this process demonstrates your commitment to the students, staff, and future of Cass City Public Schools.

The bond proposal does not increase the tax rate from the prior year (2025), but it does allow the district to continue receiving essential funding over the next several years. These resources will support needed improvements to our schools, including maintaining safe learning environments and ensuring we continue to provide strong educational opportunities for all students.

The narrow margin of this election is a reminder that every vote matters. We appreciate the trust our community has placed in Cass City Public Schools and remain committed to being responsible stewards of these funds.

More information regarding the change in results is detailed in the Official Press Release from the Tuscola County Clerk’s Office.  It is also available on our website.

On behalf of our Board of Education, staff, and students, thank you for your continued support of Cass City Schools. Together, we will continue working to build a strong future for our students and our community.

Sincerely,

Allison Zimba

Superintendent
