Peer Tutor Opportunity - Summer 2025

Local family seeking a responsible and academically proficient student (age 16+) to provide in-person tutoring to a student this summer. This is a paid opportunity ideal for students who are confident in their math and reading skills. 

Details: 

* Who: Students aged 16 or older with strong reading and math skills
* Where: Tutoring sessions will take place in person at public locations (Cass City High School, local park, library, or restaurant - location expenses covered)
* When: 2 hours per day, 5 days per week, for a minimum of 8 weeks. 
       Weeks of June 8, 15, 22, 29 and July 6, 13, 20, 27 
       Flexible scheduling available
* Pay:
       - $15/hour for non NHS students
       - $20/hour for NHS-certified students
       - Higher rates may be considered for candidates with specialized experience
*Payment: Weekly payments by check or ACH deposit (W-9 required)
       Total compensation: $1,200-$1,600 for the 8-week term
*Commitment: Minimum 8-week engagement with a preferred 2-week notice for early termination

Preference: Due to religious reasons, the family is seeking a male student tutor.
